Ultimately, the panel of professional judges and the honorary jury committee, in the presence of the monitoring guests, awarded the Gold, Silver, and Bronze prizes to the top entries among the 28 finalist light art works.
The 2023 Open Call showcased innovative works from over 60 artists globally, attracting an audience of 1.3 million on-site and reaching nearly 2 billion online views. The event highlighted cutting-edge integration of technology and art, with artists leveraging advanced projection mapping techniques to create immersive experiences. The competition also fostered a diverse cultural exchange, allowing artists to explore and reflect on urban evolution through their artistic interpretations.
The Shining Shanghai 2025 International Light Art Open Call, under the theme "Luminescent Roots: Stories of Home", continues to deepen the multidimensional expression of "Light Art + Architecture + Culture," further highlighting local narratives resonating with a global audience. The open call is launched on May 1st, attracting 154 submissions from 32 countries and regions. Ultimately, 20 works stood out, including 1 Gold Award, 1 Silver Award, 3 Bronze Awards, and 15 Finalist Awards. Meanwhile, its international outreach established a global media matrix covering North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region, cumulatively reaching over 60 countries and more than a thousand media outlets, with global exposure surpassing one million impressions.
